Crystal Decoder: Harness a Million Years of Earth Energy to Reveal Your Lives, Loves, and Destiny
Published in Paperback by Barrons Educational Series (01 February, 2001)
Author: Sue Lilly
Average review score:

Beauty AND Substance
Every page is a visual feast! A wide variety of specimens. The back flap is a double-sided tear-out casting board of the compass & astrological layouts that opens out to 11x11. (serene tans & blues) For each stone, there are sidebars on color, hardness, composition, qualities, chakras; personality, energy; & the text breakdown is Myth & History, Spiritual & Healing Properties, and Divinatory Interpretations. There are specific interpretations for each stone in each position of the compass board(8 directions + center) and the astrological board(12 houses/signs). *The only other book I've seen that goes into such detail is The Crystal Wisdom Kit(which includes the stones- only 12). The more hard-to-find/expensive stones are flint, celestite, selenite, topaz & rubellite IN lepidolite. There is only a 4 sentence paragraph stating that runes & bone oracles are examples of the 2nd type of casting: where each item has a specific meaning to be related to the pattern of items around it. If you want rune-based layouts look at The Little Giant Encyclopedia of Runes. The other method uses the I Ching & geomancy (again- no details) as examples. Scrying & pendulum dowsing are included. The resource directory lists 6 US suppliers and 3 UK suppliers.

It's a beautiful book.
It's a beautifully put-together book filled with color photos, drawings and charts. It discusses how to select your personal stones, stones for the day or event or other purposes. It also discusses each stone's history, origins, use, spiritual and divine interpretation, chakra relationships, etc.

What distinguishes this book from another gem book in my mind is that the author has shared her insight of each stone in a meaningful and concise way. It's in a way like getting a psychic reading. It tells you what kind of person you are and what state of mind you're in. Very entertaining and quite accurate.

I think the book is a good value for the money. It's printed on thick, glossy paper, filled with good information, and can serve well as a good coffee table book also. Everyone will find something interesting in there at a party or meeting, and if you keep it for your viewing only, it will be like a collector's item.

The Crystal Eye: Alein Chronicles Book 3

Great Books!!
Deborah Chester must bring out # 3. The first two are both incredible works of literature. I can't wait for the next incredible book! P.S.-Beat Israi down, Ampris!

I have not read the 3rd book. But I have read the first 2.
Hello, my name is Eric. I have not read this 3rd book yet and I will soon. But till then, I think that this 3rd should be just as good as the first 2. I feel that Deborag Chester is doing a FANTASTIC job of creating a new enviroment for the readers. I don't get to read to often and really would like to. But when I get my hands on these books I can't seem to set them down, I start with 5 pages and realize that I have been reading for quite some time now. By the time I actualy set the book down to get some water or something I have read at least 40 pages. The book is fantastic. I would have to say this is my favorite book yet. If there were to be a movie of this, I would be first in line to see it. To make a movie of something like this would be quite hard though I would belive. She is so imaginative that our own technology could not keep up. :)

Anyhow, in simple words. "THE BOOK IS GREAT"

Thank you Deborah Chester for writing such a wonderfull story and I hope to keep reading more from this author.

This is one of the best books you can read. The auther is fantastic and loads it full of information i could not find anywhere else[i.e.,the stones hardness on the mohs scale.that is hard to find on all crystals}If you have a fasination with crystals, it is a definite read.

An excellent resource
Although this book isn't quite as interesting as Crystal Love Secrets, which is unfortunately out of stock, it is still an excellent resource for anyone interested in crystals and practical applications towards everyday life. Overall, a complete and accurate guide - excellent for beginners.

Crystal Journey: Travel Guide for the New Shaman
Published in Paperback by Journey Books (January, 1996)
Authors: Janeann Dow and Catherine Weser
Average review score:

A GREAT book on crystals and crystal healing
I highly recommend this book...

I had 3 books on crystals and crystal healing before buying this book and quickly realized that I really clicked with this one. I almost gave it 4 stars because I wish there were more pictures - especially of stones and crystals. But the information is so good, it really deserves 5. My other books are used for pictures (reference and identifying stones) and hers I read for information and healing suggestions. This is the first exposure I have had to light bodies - emotional, mental, and spiritual. I feel that I have learned a lot and have incorporated her methods of meditation into my own.

Janeanne's writing is personal, I can almost her her talking as I read. Thanks Janeanne for a great book!

DOWN TO EARTH, INTIMATE AND INFORMATIVE
I really enjoyed this book being relatively new to the world of the power of cyrstals. Other books I have read, layed out more like dictionaries, lacked the personal touch that Janeann is so generous with in her writing - sharing personal experiences and making sensible suggestions. This book has meant the most to me in my crystal reading thus far. It is beautiful, warm and full of information. I definitely vibrated with this one!

Crystal Meth Cowboys
Published in Paperback by Blue Steel Press (May, 2003)
Author: John Knoerle
Average review score:

An authentic discovery.
This is why I take chances with new authors-- once in a great while, I find someone whose first book clearly shows the ability to produce a rich and satisfying body of work. John Knoerle is on the path. He has the elegant phrases of Dennis Lehane, the wicked political and social anarchy and dark humor of Carl Hiaasen and the mousetrap construction of Thomas Perry. Crystal Meth Cowboys is K.C. Constantine meets Jimmy Breslin-- The Gang Who Couldn't Shoot Straight does, and they've got badges.

Knoerle Gets It Done! Brilliant!
John Knoerle has written a novel that's right up there with the very best of Carl Hiassen, Elmore Leonard and Michael Connelly. This is a crime novel that has humor, velocity and a neo-noir realism that takes your breath away. This guy can flat-out WRITE. A pleasure from first page to last. Discover him before he's on the cover of People Magazine (and if anyone in Hollywood is reading this, here's your next big movie -- The ironic grit of "Pulp Fiction" and the pace (and the setting) of a Roadrunner cartoon.

The Crystal Palace: A Tale from the Gold Country
Published in Hardcover by Abongold Books (May, 1999)
Author: Paula Bonnier Anawalt

A charming tale
I purchased this cassette for my younger brother and he just loves it. He loved the music, the story and looking at the picture book while listening to the narration. He enjoyed the colorful paintings and the stagecoach. It sparked his interest in the Gold Country history.

The Crystal Palace: A Tale from the Gold Country
I believe Amazon got the age wrong. It is appropriate for children younger than 9 years. My 8-year-old daughter loves this book! The pictures are imaginative, colorful and detailed. The fanciful prose allows kids to use their imaginations, and the history lessons are fun. Delightful book. I heartily recommend it.

Crystal Planet

Best of the Best
If your a fan of shread guitar, or guitar in general, and you are looking for a challange, but cool stuff to play, here it is. I strongly suggest you buy this instead of getting tabs off the internet, this is 100% accurate and has additional info on how to play a song. Great for reserch on how to play Joe's style.
Great Album, Great Book to help you play along.

I love this book!
If you listen to Joe Satriani, then you obviously know what type of music he plays. From fast runs, to slow and melodic songs, he's got it all. This book shows you note by note how to play those beautiful songs that Satriani plays.
Even though, I have found probably 2 or 3 mistakes in what I've played, the rest is very nice and very accurate.
I have learned a couple of songs and played along the Crystal Planet cd.
Buy this book if you like the cd and if you play guitar.
You won't be dissapointed. One thing I tell you....a lot of stuff here is a little difficult, so be warned.

Crystal Raine
Published in Paperback by 1stBooks Library (September, 2002)
Author: Deborah McNemar
Average review score:

Great first book!
To be honest, I picked it up out of curiousity and then couldn't put it down! Deborah McNemar has created a wonderful world, rich with characters and details. I hope to see more from this author in the future!
Raine is a High Elven girl whose curiosity gets her into trouble when she makes friends with a human knight, Dafydd. Banished from her home with her memories altered so that she can't find her way back, Raine has to learn how to pretend to be human when she understands hardly more than their language.
This isn't just another romp through a fantasy world. It is a well thought out journey full of magic and wonder and wonderful people. A great read that I recommend to anyone who likes fantasy!

Great new author!!
I know Deb personally, so was thrilled when she said she was getting a story published. Got a chance to read a copy she loaned me this past week, and quite honestly, I couldn't put it down. It moves along at a good pace, and is well written. I've always liked fantasy, and would rate this up there with a number of the David Eddings, Anne McCaffery and Robin McKinley books I've read over the years. I can only say that I fully intend to get a copy and it will be a book that I will read to my kids (when I have them) as they grow older. WELL DONE!!

Tremendous Self-Training Workbooks
This review is to show my sincere gratitude to FASTPLANET for making the Workshop books available (Quick Start and Power User). The books provide excellent information in a concise manner. They provide excellent formats that are easy to follow. They provide excellent exercises. They make a complicated and powerful software easy.

I was able to go though most of the two books in a weekend and have been very productive in modifying Crystal reports. We have saved a significant amount of money by not relying on the service of outside consultants to modify most of the reports that we can do on our own.

Again, my sincere gratitude to everybody at FASTPLANET for making the books available.

A very happy user

The best Crystal Training Library
Have taught this course and the 8.0 Power User. Both are very good books to teach from. This book has a little too much material to teach in two days, but in all fairness many of my students have been relatively non-technical. Highly recommended for your Crystal Classes.
